BFA Fashion Design alumn Rachela Tiody’s collection is a memoir of her time during the pandemic quarantine and a way to immortalize the heartfelt experiences she had with her six roommates during that time. She looked toward Indonesian furniture to create her silhouettes and designs, developing a knotting technique using tube yarns and macrame. Her collection was made in collaboration with BFA Costume Design alumn Patric Wang who created the headwear to accompany the garments. Wang chose to utilize felt, a natural fabric that looks cozy and comfortable, to pair with Tiody’s concept.
